Dove blue lake this weekend, arrived around 11:30am and the few who were there were finishing up and leaving. Temps were great, a sunny 80-85* dried us out rather quickly and an 82* water temp made it comfortable to go sans wet suit. Visibility was great (12-15ft-ish)and with hardly anyone there I didn't feel too bad about floundering on the bottom and mucking it up a bit.

Have the horse flys started to come out yet?

yes, got bit once, killed one as it was giving me a second bite. Those bastards are huge! But they stayed around the stagnant water and didn't bother me while on the dock.

I had a HUGE deer fly bite me right on top of the head while floating at the surface once. You've got to love Blue Lake and the bugs during the summer......
