Blue inon diffusers for S-90

Does anyone know if it would be beneficial to get the blue diffuser for the S-90 or if this was a problem for older models of canon cameras?

If you plan to shoot in Auto mode which has the Auto white balance which per all Canon cameras in that mode imparts a significant red/orange color cast to the jpegs, then by all means get the blue.

If however you plan to use the S90 as an advanced camera and take advantage of various capabilities to alter wb, RAW and to use manual and Av modes then get the white.
