I'm going down to BH next weekend (Labor Day) for some diving with TJack. All are welcome to join. We are camping, unless the weather is bad. We will be grilling for lunch Saturday for sure, maybe Sunday.

Look forward to seeing some RMO's at the Hole!

I know that the Castle Rock shop is headed down with some classes. Don't know about WinterHawk, but I think that Twebba is going.

I am not going down this week as I have family in town.

Hopefully I can make it the 20th.

Cheers!

Jeez, I've been other there for the last two weekends. Can't do this one......

Hey guys - I'll be down there DM-ing for a Planet Scuba OW class.

Ron & T-Jack, It'll be fun to see you guys again!
I'll be staying at the Adobe so if you guys end up not camping, maybe I'll see ya there too.

Anyone else from the board that's coming this weekend, please introduce yourself.
I'll be the one in a black Pinnacle drysuit with a very loud (neon yellow) Zeagle BCD and most likely, wearing a Pirate "Do-Rag". Stop me and say, "Hello" if you see me there!

Cheers!

does anyone know if they are still dropping the water level mid-week?
Don't know.... Maybe call Stella

I hooked up with Tom in Taos, and spent a couple of days there before heading over to the BH. We arrived on Sunday midday, did two dives in the PM, had dinner, and then did a night dive. We got in the water at 8:48pm, and did over 40 minutes.

Vis was stirred up on Sunday, but by Monday we almost had the place to ourselves (diving), and vis was excellent. We did one dive on Monday, had lunch, and parted ways.

We did not camp as we were only there for overnight. My cold is still dragging on, but I was able to dive.

The dives were all relaxing, and all over 40 minutes each (typical). I'll be at the Hole TWICE this month! Unusual, but then again, I had not been down since May.

Stella seemed a bit down. Apparently it's been a slow summer for her. The Hole was packed on Monday....with out of town swimmers!

They are NOT building JUST a dive shop, but the convention center. It's big. I guess Santa Rosa is going full speed ahead, and it's impossible to know exactly what the plans are at this point as the convention center was originally not planned for the first phase that I was aware of.....

My impression is that they are NOT lowering the water during the week currently. They lost a bunch of fish (down the spillway), and neither of us saw the Parana.

Once again great diving at the old Blue Hole. Not too crowded as far as divers go. Lots of people swimming on Monday, I even did a couple of cliff dives after Ron left. Man that water is cold without any exposure porotection! We looked for Twebba and others but we didn't arrive till Sunday around noon. Word was that the vis. at Perch was poor and the sulphur smell was back. Stella refered to the lowering of the water table in the past tense so we assumed that that phase of construction is over.
