Blue Angel resort changes?

Hey all. Not trying to cause anything, just curious.
I found out that a long-time server at Blue Angel restaurant has moved on and is working as an 'independent' at a beach club. *what ever that means)

has there been some sort of a shake-up at the property?

We were there in April - May and it was pretty much the same as it ever was. We missed Sergio, of course, but from what we could tell he left for a better job rather than being let go.

My trunks are blue, by the way.

We were there in early July. Pretty much the same friendly place. Saw Sergio, he has a better job, doing well I recall him saying. A new server, he is nice, not good with English though . Guides same as usual except Matteo seems gone for now due to a family health concern and a restaurant he owns is my understanding. The patio cover was removed and a new concrete structure was being built. Lalo most know has passed on .

What patio cover? The thatch behind the lobby, maybe?

I went to 'Ohana when I was on the island in April - May and I had a long talk with Mateo. Yes, his life had gotten very complicated and he was taking a sabbatical from his DM work. He was not at all happy about it, and we missed diving with him.

Where is Sergio now? I want to make a point of going to see him on my next Coz trip.
