Anyone done any blackwater diving in Tulamben?

Thanks, I know bill did BWDiving but didn't realise he had done it in Bali.

I did a few in Tulamben on a bonfire basis (private organization with my free lance guide)
Utama Villa does blackwater as well.

I did several while I was at Alam Batu. Great operation and I had a great time, would definitely recommend.

Thanks guys. How deep did you go on these dives? I'm in my late 70's and don't go deeper than 25m with the occasional touch of 30.

Maximum depth on blackwater dives is usually around 10m.

The lights are hung from a boat or buoy to attract the critters and you just drift along with it. As long as you can maintain neutral buoyancy you just drift along with the lights.

When we have done it we would go as deep as 22+m but usually stay between 12-20m... then slowly shallow up. But you can usually stay at whatever depth you want.

Great I'll give it a go whilst I am there. I have a 30mm lens for my Oly setup.
