Does anyone know the current condition of the Black river. I had heard that is was not running clear since the big flood at Johnson’s Shut Inns.
Also any info on other Missouri rivers that are good for snorkeling would be appreciated.

If you can tolerate the temps, the Current River or Jack's Fork are quite clear for MILES. Eminence, Mo has some good locations for that within 5 miles in either direction from the bridge.

Yea, the current river is a little too cold. We dove the lower current last summer, and it's not bad with a wet suit, about 74 degs, but the upper river is about 55 degs. Thats too cold to swim.
