Hi Folks
I am new to SCUBA. I just returned from a snorkeling vacation in Cozumel and have decided to get certified. My wife says I'm already certifiable, but somehow I don't think its the same!
Right now I'm trying to learn as much as can, so I look forward to participating in this forum and benefiting from your collective experience and knowledge. Advance thanks to y'all !
Regards
Pete

Welcome Aboard!!
Congrats on deciding to Scuba...I suggest you check out the local dive centres in your area and ask lots of questions. I'm sure you'll have lots of questions....find a place you're comfortable with and talk to your instuctor to be. You're about to enter a world that is truly awsome!! Check you're thread often cuz there is a lot of good people on board with an abundance of very good advice. Tomorrow i'm going for a couple of dives on the Sunshine Coast up here in British Columbia(Vancouver) Canada with someone I met here on :sblogo: and I know i'll have a great time and learn at the same time...AWSOME!!

I agree scubaboard is a great place to meet other divers and to learn about all things related to scuba.

Good luck

Aloha and welcome to SB! My husband grew up diving Cozumel and I've had to listen to endless dive stories about how awesome and amazing it is. Makes me jealous but living and diving where I do now makes it easier to tolerate ;)
