We are coming to Florida this week and plan to do some diving. Years ago we dove in Biscayne National Park and it was a very nice dive. We were hoping to dive the wall this year. I never read anything about this dive, is it worth doing?? We also plan to dive around Boyton Beach. We only have 3 days, so we want to make the best of it. Any ideas, advice is welcome. We are both advanced divers, but I don't really care for deep wrecks.
Thank you.
Doreen

Thanks, we called and they said the boat is up and running. Hopefully, it will stay that way.
We are also going to contact UWExplorer. I could not tell where they are located from their web site, keep getting web site cannot be found message. Are they located by the 2Georges pier?
Appreciate your help!

That's correct, they are docked at Two Georges Marina, pretty much in the middle of the group of boats.

Perfect, thanks again. Hope the weather cooperates this weekend, we are so looking forward to warm water!!!!

I have not done Biscayne in a couple of years. We used to like the diving there. The wall is more of a slope, but it is a good dive.

Agreed, it's definitely not a Cozumel or Cayman wall but it's a good dive and offers frequent big animal encounters. One the best dives I've ever done was there drifting with a fleet of rays for a solid 10 minutes.

Doreen - Be aware the park requires you to have a snorkel for all dives and a safety sausage for the wall dive.

I do hope the weather is good. This is my third attempt and I have never made it to the wall. Once we went out but aborted about 2/3rd of the way out (we did do some nice shallow reef). The 2nd time the trip was called.

The OP uses (or least they did) a big' old Corinthian and they don't don't go out when the waves are over 3-4'. Not right or wrong, just a lot different than down in Key Largo or up North.

Hi h2olover,
Welcome to the Scubaboard ;)
if you make it be sure to post a report :)

Thanks for all the helpful info. We had to rent sausages last time we dove in Florida so we will definately bring them this trip. I'll make sure my husband has his snorkle and we'll hope for the best weather wise. Chilly day today, looking forward to being warm.
