Is that the bottom rung on the boat ladder?

In that particular instance, I believe that is the 30ft deco stop. When we dove Chuuck , on doubles, NOT QUADS, we had a 300 foot stop set up with a similar bar and had O2 clipped on at out 10 foot stop for the final hour or so

after one dive, they gave him 100 lb tanks for the rest of the week. On one morning they actually had two big guys that needed the large tanks so we had 4 of the tanks onboard. .
I am still on the edge of my seat with pins and needles scurrying about waiting to see the size and volume of those 100lb tanks. If they are high pressure it must be somewhere like 300 ft3, Maybe they converted oxy/acetelyne tanks

hey woody its richard from providencia if your going to roatan check out sueno del mar, went diving for a day with them and liked it they also seem to have a nice hotel on the beach, I also dived with reef gliders for several days and enjoyed, I know nothing about coconut tree divers except they seemed to have alot of people on there boats. You and judy may like sueno del mar, a little more upscale than sonnys

THAT wouldn't take much.;) Thanks for the tip. Woody

I just use some 80 cu ft tanks the local ops provide, versus the hassle of carrying tanks along on airplanes.

The red lenses were RobertCrockeye's idea.

:rofl3:Lmao...why am I always beat up over my obviously very stylish "dive Fashion"..I mean c'mon..ya never know when the diverazzi will start harassing you at 80 feet for pics.

To update this, I am currently working with Mike at Reef House Resort for a trip in Mid September, and got him looking for those big tanks to borrow from other operators. He looked all over, and said that neither Coconut Tree or CCV admits to having any 100 cf tanks. Interesting...He did find a couple of them at Native Sons who say they will lend them, but these things seem to be more elusive than I would have thought. Kind of makes you wonder. Woody

There are various gadgets that allow one to quickly improvise a set of independent doubles. It looks like concave blocks that go between the tanks and straps to hold it together. Its then bolted to a backplate, Transpack or whatever twinset compatible BC that is available.
