Big question.. where next...

Hi,
Leaving Mexico today and wondering where to go next Christmas & New Year.

We are a family of 4, 2 of them are divers. We want to find a great destination which offers something for non divers, actually, what we need is a nice resort for my wife and daughter and some nice diving (with a lot of sealife / wreck) max 30 m.

Time of travel, 21st Dec 2013 - 5th Jan 2014

As we are based in Sweden we need some palce which we can reach within 10-14 hours travel time.

Looking forward in some great feedback.

I mention the possibility for several reasons:
1) There are direct flights to Phuket from Stockholm, and flight time is about 11 hours IIRC.
2) It's the right time of year.
3) Khao Lak is family friendly with nice resorts and beaches.
4) You can do daytrip diving to great sites (not so cheap, but still you can get back to your family for the evening any day).
5) There are a couple of nice wrecks within striking distance for daytrips--Boonsoong wreck and the newer Sea Chart wreck.
