I am completely new to scuba and came across this forum so thought I would say hello! Recently went to Turkey on holiday and went on a 1 day dive trip where I managed 2 dives to about 5m. Although I found it a bit scary I thought it was great. Like being in a huge aquarium! Decided to take it further and found out my local pool does lessons so I went for a try dive and I am starting proper next week!
Have looked at the other forums and it seems they speak a different language! No doubt I will know what it all means as I go on. Will keep you posted on my progress.

Another soul from the Kingdom by the Sea! You have come to the right place! We all love scuba and love to talk about it. I am wont to write that, if you have questions, we have answers; if you have answers, we have questions; or if you just want to sit back and enjoy yourself for awhile, we are here for that, too!

Keep us up to date on your progress: we can be very encouraging...even those of us who spell humor this way!

Joewr...this space for lease, sale or barter...the price is right!

Welcome Brit Girl to the best place you'll ever find to spend your SI.

There are a few highly unique individuals around here that you may want to be wary of. Yes Butch, Syruss and you others (you know who you are)- I mean you! Just kidding guys:D

A warm welcome from Canada

Welcome to the finest board, SCUBA or otherwise on the Net Brit Girl. I hope you meet as many interesting people and learn as much as I have! Glad to have you aboard! I did want to point out that I am NOT one of those nefarious few that Diving Gal made reference too.

:tease:

Hi Brit Girl

I'm from Hertfordshire and there are a number of us Brits posting on this board, I'm sure they will all introduce themselves. Glad to see you have got the bug. This board is the most friendly helpful site I found. I look forward to hearing about your training adventures.

Breathe happy

Neil

Welcome Home Brit Girl,

Once you get all certified we will all become your extended family and you will love it. Here you will find answers to your questions and questions to others answers. What more could you ask for in a scuba forum.

You will also me some odd creatures here like:

Joewr: Crys at the drop of nastalgia from oregon
Butch103: Well you just have to get to know him hehehehe
Myself: I am the normal one
DivingGal: She is the shy quiet, soft spoken Canadian

Gosh the list goes on and on.

I agree totally with your assesment and will take your advice....after tomorrow you wont hear from me for about 10 days. Will the board be okay while I am gone?

I have left Butch total creative control while I am gone, and also tasked DivingGal to keep OD in line. And Scubababy is assigned the task of keeping her in line and watching out for BS. (aka Bottom_Sucker)

You should all be okay I think.

And last but not least it is everyones job to keep on eye on the Diving Iguana and that fruity Californian Joewr!

A large welcome from ARIZONA the all beach no ocean state

I have read your profile, and thanks for filling that out.

I remember my adventure into the addiction, did it go as planned? not exactly and thanks to the many voices of this family I am here today :bounce:
