Big Dive Event - Malaga Cove Saturday June 25

Big diving event has been organized for this Saturday at Malaga Cove in Palos Verdes:

Dive Gear Sale - used & new
BBQ
Underwater Dive Contest - Texas Holdem
Raffle for Shark Dive Trip
Stuff for the kids & more

Party starts at 9am. Bring the family.

Big diving event at Malaga Cove this Saturday (25th)
It's a fundraiser read more about the cause at /www.helptravis.org

1) Yard sale with may good items (BCs, knives, camera,...) priced to sell and 100% of sale goes to cause. All items were donated to the sale

2) Food and driks, same deal 100% of the price paid goes to cause

3) Underwater games and raffles. Some good donated prizes like a shark dive boat trip, some cash prizes. Hunt for cards hidden underwater and put together a poker hand, best hands win

4) Don't like the big hill at Malaga? There will be a "scuba serpa" service. Leave your gear at the bottom of the hill and it will get hauled up the hill and run through a rince tank It's worth doing
a dive this Saturday for the luxury of having a poerter service.

5) there wil be things for kids and non-divers to do so bring the family

Here is your chance to help someone who really needs it while possibly taking away more than you came with. _Lots_ of divers to hang around with and meet

Although, I won't be able to make it to this event due to a previous obligation, I hope that lots of ScubaBoard members will be able to make it to this event for such a worthy cause.

It's great when the local diving community comes together to help one of it's own. It sounds like it's going to be a really fun day. It's a great opportunity to buy some gear and donate to a great cause at the same time.

If you think you can make it, why don't you post that here as a symbolic show of support.

I'm in! Looking forward to a sunrise dive and then supporting the fundraiser. Hope to see lots of South Bay divers having fun! Maybe even the GSB's will make a supportive appearance....
