hey mjh,

thanks alot for the review. may i ask how is the lift on the bcd?

Not much to say really Crazymonkey, its a basic standard Jacket type Bc. Beuchat like most European companies has a nice flair for colour and design and the Bc is well constructed and very sturdy, if anything lets it down its the PI unit, its a cheap construction that gives endless problems, at one stage some years ago Beuchat had to replace hundreds as they cracked, self inflated, stuck open, stuck closed, and just generally didnt do the job, they did a few minor internal mods and left the unit as is really, but in my opinion they have never solved the problem.

Inflation is good as the BC is compartmentalised, which means the BC inflates in a few compartments which makes it more comfortable and better fitting, if memory serves me LIFT is fair with about 13 kgs for a med size unit. Obviously this changes with size up or down.

I think Beuchat went backwards a few years ago and virtually disappeared, but they seem to be resurecting themselves again with some good products, I would buy the Bc if you need a good, stable, basic unit, with nice design flair, - toss the PI unit and replace it with a octo / Pi in one and I think you will have a nice BC that will last for years.
