First time diving in almost a year. Husband and I hired a private guide the day before yesterday. We saw a manta ray at Eagle Ray Rock. Apparently that is fairly uncommon around here. Our guide, Rumy, was so jazzed it was priceless.

The manta was sighted while on a boat dive with Captain Andy and Marcell of Sunset House. Rumy, my better half, and I had dove separately from the group and were treated to a long leisurely look at his underside before he finally turned off to our left.

Captain Andy was a bit bummed; with a studly pout he said, “I’ve been here four years and not seen one.” None of the rest of the group on board were fortunate enough to see Mr. 757 with his two perfectly symmetrical remora engines either.

We are not worthy! :D :)
