I am just getting started, and will be completing my OW dives next weekend. I will probably only be able to afford one wet suit that will have to work in most conditions for the next year.
What thickness would provide the most comfort and protection for almost any season here in So FL. Thanks eyebrow

If you are diving strickly So Florida (Palm Beach area) the water rarely gets below 70, and the springs are generally 72 year round... 3mm is what you will use 98% of your diving life.

You might think about a farmer john - a wet suit in two pieces: 1 piece - shorty (as in shorts) top and 1 piece - farmer john longer leggin's /// Then you are covered for summer and winter diving

I use a 3/2mm full suit all year long. Last January, the water was 68F and I was very comfortable.
