I would suggest buying a drysuit, that way you can just keep diving all year, and not have to worry about pesky issues such as "storage"!

Good suggestions posted already. I second storing them in an air-tight bag or container, away from light and extremes in temperatures. My bedroom/living room are ideal places for storage. And do hang the wetsuits so they don't get permanent creases, which reduce their lifespan.
