Jotrons are toys compared to the Pathfinder/Trojan/BAF strobes. I’ve still got a couple but wouldn’t consider using them ‘standalone’ when I absolutely had to return to the shotline.

I never even got to use mine, no idea how case cracked, well it wasn't case but end cap. I donated the body to someone on a coin toss as their case had cracked IIRC.

Assumption would be I over tightened it but I'm pretty careful with plastic threads on plastic. I'm going with manufacturing defect. Maybe. I tried to contact them on numerous occasions, crickets, would never give them my money again.
