How about the water temperature come May timeframe? What do you recommend to bring wetsuit 3mm plus hood or 5mm? or just skins and board shorts.

The water temperature is 27 C to 29 C / 80 F to 84 F - so pretty warm... it depends how sensitive to the cold you are!

Would you make that same recommendation if one were headed to Misool only?

OR to the north islands as well as Misool and the Danpier strait?

Good question, but yes. Sometimes the north side conditions are not that great with poor visibility (super green water). With a LOB, the cruise director might decide to go to Misool and avoid such conditions. Raja Ampat is such a large area, there are still places to discover.
