My wife and I went with the MV Sea Queen. It's owned by a company in the UK (www.scubascuba.com). We had the time of our life. Accomodation, diving and food were excellent.

When openning that link take care it comes with a ) at the end and you have to delete it.

I've only been in the Red Sea once so I only have experience with one boat, the Blue Horizon and I found it to be excellent! Even comparing it with other boats seen during the liveaboard. So take a look at http://www.blueotwo.com/mybluehorizon_hls.htm
The same company has other boats also.

Been on the blue seas also owned by blue o two going on blue horizon in Oct, but I dont think these do the northern red sea .You would be much better doing the southern red sea, brother islands, diadulas etc much more to see and much better diving. you will then get to see all the big fellas.

Try "Emperior Divers" I was there last week for a "Get wrecked" tour on the 'Infinity' with our dive club. It was fantastic! The boat, the crew and the guide were brill... 4 dives a day, 3 cooked meals - free nitrox!

Once I've paid off this holiday I will be saving and booking with them again!

After several trips there I would say Blue Waves from experience. However, customers have highly rated Blue O2 and Tony Backhurst as well.

Depends what you want and where you want to go.

Blue Horizon from Blue O Two consistently gets the thumbs up, but mainly does the offshore marine parks and Deep South, so no good if you definitely want to do a northern safari.

Royal Evolution is a top boat, but it, too, is doing marine parks, Deep South and an Egypt-Sudan-Egypt itinerary.

The new Emperor boats (Tranquility, Infinity, etc) are all very nice, and I think a couple of them are doing northern routes.

VIP One is an older boat (launched in 96) but it is always drydocked on an annual basis and is wearing well. It was recently refurbished inside, and the crew are top. I was on this boat in July. It operates out of Sharm and does a northern itinerary.

Tony Backhurst works with the Tornado Fleet, and they have several nice boats which do northern runs.

If you want a mix of great wrecks, walls and coral gardens, then go north. If you want walls, strong currents, a greater chance of pelagic action and less divers, then head for the offshore marine parks or Deep South. Or even Sudan.
