Best Month for Maldives

I'm looking at planning a liveaboard trip in the Maldives and doing a lot of underwater photography, From January to early April, what time to go would you recommend?

Hi Laurie, Any time between January and end of April/early May is great, weather will be good and water temperature between 78-84oF.
High season for liveaboards is Jan to mid April so if you can hold off to Mid April then you can get a better deal as well.
Plenty of really good boats out there, but you may want to avoid the "Best of Maldives" /Central Atols as these can be very busy dive sites at that time of year.
Consider one of the boats in the north for some great diving with far fewer boats/divers.
Also a lot will depend on your budget, there are one or two super deals on 14 night trips sometimes.
