My wife and I just came back from Bonaire (trip report to follow later) and there are a variety of levels of difficulty when it comes to entry/exits. They can be down right dangerous at the northern or southern tips of the island, depending on the weather at the time, or completely benign diving the house reef off the dock at your hotel. With so many dive sights it's not hard to find ones you like. And that's if you stick to shore diving, there's also boat diving as well if you want it. The nice thing about Bonaire is that there are many sites that you don't need to go any deeper than 20 -30 fsw to enjoy. The other nice things is that you can take it at your own pace. Don't like the looks of a particular site? Then hop back in the truck and go to another one. It's entirely up to you, there's no schedule to keep. The reef is healthy and the fish life is abundant. IMO, you can't go wrong with Bonaire, for many reasons.
