Will be in Kona soon and looking for recommendations on dive operators and well as restaurants. Thanks in advance.

Kona Honu Divers. Dived with them for the first time 2 weeks ago after leaving Jack's Diving Locker as a customer. Great service, great experience. Dive your computer or 70 minutes.

I've only gone with Big Island Divers and thought they were great, except for their rental wetsuits, which had degraded to where they were just 2 sheets of cloth sandwiching a sheet of absorbent rubber sponge (I pack one of my collection of old beat up 4/3 surf suits for Hawaii diving now)

Jack's Diving Locker runs a good operation, the Manta and Black Water dives should be on your bucket list

Big Islands Divers or Kona Diving Company. Night manta dive is a must. Places to eat--Magic's at Magic Sands, Jackie Rey's, and after diving-Harbor House in Kona Harbor. and Kona Brewing Company for beer/food

+1 for Kona Honu Divers if you want to dive out of Kailua-Kona (Honokohau Harbor). You may consider going up to Kawaihae to dive with Kohala Divers on the northwest coast of the island for a little variety in a much less dove area. You can also get that with the Kona Honu Divers Advance Long-Range charters.

I can also highly recommend the Kona Honu Divers Blackwater dive. Sarah and Jeff Milisen are the blackwater experts.
