Just wondering what everyone's favorite
electric razor is and why. I want to
get my father one for Christmas

I've had the same Norelco since 1979. My brother bought Remington's and had to replace them. The Remingtons were really LOUD also. They sounded like a lawn mower.

I like the wet razors. Can't use them on a dive, but you can use them with soap/cream/gel. They are comfortable, unlike the dry razors.

I recommend the Braun shaver with the cleaning unit:
(Syncro or Activator)

I'm bloody lazy when it comes to cleaning shavers so the fact that this one does it for you is just great!

The shave's pretty good too...

Washy once bubbled...
I recommend the Braun shaver with the cleaning unit
I'm with you.

Is the Braun shaver DIR?:mean:

Only if you bungie it around your neck!!!

Your profile doesn't indicate if you are a "boy" newbie or a girl "newbie"

Since, I am a father with adult children, I just wanted to warn you about buying a shaver for Dear Old Dad. Men get set in there ways especially when it comes to shaving.

If he has been a blade man all of these years don't be disappointed if he doesn't take to your present. Unless he said, "Gee, I'd like an electric shaver for Christmas."

I've been using a Norelco for 40 years. I hope none of my kids try to convert me to some other type of shaving.

If you ask me why I have been using Norelcos for 40 years-- my answer is, " 'cause, I have been."

benncool--guy newbie here. Yeah, I am set in my ways
with a blade but Pops wants an electric...

Looks like Norleco and Braun are winning so far?
Any specific models people like?

I bought my husband the Norelco 6705X. He gets razor burn, so we are trying this razor since it dispenses Nivea shave lotion while shaving. He loves the fact that it is a wet razor, but I would say that the lotion is too expensive and it makes the blades sticky. This is probably just Norelco's attempt to make more money on replacement parts. Good luck!
