My wife is going to be in Orlando in May and she suggested we make a diving weekend out of the end of her conference. We will be looking to dive on Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday morning before we head north.

What is everyone's recommendations, both of us are very comfortable in the water and depth is not an issue within recreational limits.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

There are the Living Seas at Disney (Plastic reefs are rare).

Blue Spring, and Alexander Springs within an hour or so.

Lots of boats within a 3-4 hour drive.

Lots more springs and caverns and caves (if you are certified) further north.

I think we'll just give the plastic reefs a miss  , but any thing else is certainly up for discussion.

The only one of the springs we've been to is Devils Den (don't really care much about going there again).

Head down to the West Palm/Jupiter Beach area. Lots of good boats with excellent dives. Its about a 2.5 hour drive from downtown orlando...(depending on how fast you drive lol). here's a website for the one I'm diving with this weekend--I'll let you know how they are as its my first time diving with them. www.jupiterdivecharters.com

Don't pass up the Living Seas that quickly. It is a fun dive and an interesting experience. You also get let out in the park after and you can have a nice dinner and watch the fireworks at 9pm.
