Best Diving conditions for Feb. 2006 dive trip

Hello, i am planning a dive trip to SE Asia. I was thinking of Manado or Sipadan. i am coming from San francisco. Where is the best diving in SE Asia during Feb. - mid - March 2006. Thanks:14:

For Manado or Sipadan it's not really the right moment: the beter season is April November. You should try Thailand ( South and wwest: Similans/phuket/koh Lanta ) or Philipines ( Purto galera+ Apo reef ? )

I don't recommend Sipadan during this time of the year. Manado is ok, I dive there often and have visited Manado in Jan and Dec. Weather can be really good during these time, but the best time for these 2 areas is still from April to Sept.

Try Similan and Maldives, the right time of the year to dive

Agree it is a bit early for Sipadan, though the diving there is year round. Manado in February can be decent, but the best season is April - November.

February is a top month for diving the Andaman Sea. Plenty of choice for liveaboards to the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock and also to Burma. Also try to get to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang - not so many boats cover these 2 excellent sites.
