Best Dive shop in San Fran.

Well I'm going to be visiting San Francisco next week, and will be getting a couple dives in with some friends, but I've got some down time and thought I might do some shopping while I am in a city with more than one dive shop (the bane of being in a great lake city) and wanted some recommendations. Staying in Mountain View but I can travel a bit.

There are plenty shops around, however Any Water Sports in San Jose has a very good reputation locally. Bamboo Reef also has a store in downtown SF as well as Monterey.

Alas, S.F. has but ONE dive shop, the aforementioned Bamboo Reef. There are other dive shops in the surrounding communities, however.

Any Water Sports in San Jose is a fantastic dive shop, highly recommend it.

Depends what you are looking for. A smaller startup shop with very personalized service is Carmel Bay Divers in San Jose as well. I had a great experience with John there.

I live a mile away from "SCUBA Fusion" in San Mateo on El Camino Real. Its a really nice little shop that seems to always be well stocked with an nice array of brands and sizes. Really friendly customer service orientated shop. Highly recommended. I'm stoked to have a high quality shop right in my own backyard practically.
