Geez, and here I was feeling sorry for you. I'll just go fire up my snowblower now...
Snow is so beautiful to look at ... from 2,000 miles south!

To put something of a bow on this topic, thank you to all who responded! I think the consensus answer is that no, there is no one operator that focuses (no pun intended) on still photo opportunities. The best alternatives seem to be to go with a group that can push the operator for still photo friendly dive sites/profiles, or to hire a private DM. I'll also start watching the roll calls more closely for small groups interested in still photography that might not mind another like-minded diver.

Another possibility would be to do some shore diving. Pretty sure that Blue Angel will rent you a tank and you can muck around for hours in the 15 feet of water around their shore.

Aldora has 8 boats and we try to group divers (normally 6 or less) by skill level and interests. Given that we have many divers it is very common to have a full boat dedicated to photographers. Or as mentioned above, Little Jorge our DM is very slow and delights in finding small unusual things and we normally can satisfy requests for specific DMs.

Perspectives vary and for what it's worth, here's mine. I'm a serious still photographer. Rather than worry about keeping up with a group of divers, I hire a private DM/guide. Sure, it costs more money to do this, but it has worked really well for me in Cozumel. I prefer to capture images of larger critters.

My mistake (my assumption was based on you being the original author of the only two pinned posts and for your frequent and detailed knowledge of the island).
Haha! No problem and you are very welcome! I just didn't want to get in trouble with the mods thinking I was claiming to be one - haha!
