Please share your views on the best dive log app (not including proprietary apps for specific dive computers).

In my view, it should 1) automatically sync the log between different devices, eg. phone, tablet and PC, via the cloud, and the log should be accessible and editable also when off-line; 2) have an extensive list of input fields, that could be selected by user based on personal preferences; 3) have ample space for note taking; 4) be able to record and/or enter GPS coordinates; 5) offer various statistics, such a SAC rates etc; and 6) have simulation / planning functions.

Does such an app exist? Let me know! :)

^See above post. Fits all your requirements and is free.

Subsurface is the go to for most. I tried DiveMate and it's nice as well, seems almost like another frontend to the subsurface data format (it can import/export to subsurface and google drive as well).

Subsurface is my choice - does everything you want and its free
