Well, Dive Rite thinks a Transplate is a harness. Then you add it to a BP, any BP. You do not order a Transplate and get a BP. It is designed for the BP user that wants the adjustability of the Trans Pac. Oh the joys of precision of language.

According to Dive Rite's own website, there is no such thing as a "transplate" (at least I couldn't find one). There is a "Transplate Harness" and yes, it's a harness:

If a transplate DOES exist, let us hope it's a plate, not a harness as well.
