That's exactly what I was going to say.

Hehe.. i probably shouldnt say this after my previous rant about green, but I also wear black (and blue)theatis:The right answer should be electric violet but the problem with that is obvious. Moving to the other side of the bluish hues on the spectrum lime green would have about the lowest wavelength. There's an additional factor, however, it's not all about wavelength and the corresponding absorption. Green is the color most easily perceived by the human eye. Just take a look at a chromaticity diagram and you'll see that green covers more area than the other two primary colors and their hues.
So, my move goes for green, even though i simply wear black.
That's the issue of penetration vs. visibility.highlandfarmwv:I voted "yellow", but in a series of night dives when three of us had identical laser lights of red, green or blue, the green was the most visible.
fisherdvm:I am very disappointed.... I was hoping that neon pink would rank first... Then I'll go and buy my hotpink suit, fins, mask, and tank!!
cdiver2:The photo was taken in the 70s. It was a twin set in a shell, the tanks were inverted and the valves were very easy to reach. the take off was still on the top.
sam miller:Gene,
Fantasic!
Delighted to discover that there is indeed someone who researches and provides correct answers, rather than the I think, I believe, I heard, I thought, etc..So common to this bunch of bandits.
Keep up the great informative postings,
