I saw a thread like this in Bonaire Talk and I figured it is a good question to ask here. But...I also undertake to tabulate the data after a certain time and provide a summary for this forum (perhaps as a sticky thread?).

Let's start by listing 6 dives which can include Klein and boat dives (we can assume that most people will put Salt Pier on that list that's whay I chose 6)

Steve

PS. In case no one has guessed, I am at work and very, very bored!

1. Something Special
2. Hilma Hooker
3. Oil Slick Leap
4. Klein/Hands Off
Now these are my favorite

Hard to say but I would think mine are :

1 Oil Slick- I love to giant stride
2.1000 Steps
3 Hilma Hooker
4 Alice In Wonderland- the double reef is nice
5 Old Blue- the entry is very easy

Salt Pier use to be on my list but they have tightened up on security it's too much of a pain for me to bother with.
At Alice In Wonderland and Hilma Hooker, look in the sand channel for garden eels. To see them you have to be looking way before you get close to the bottom as they watch you coming and will slide back in their holes before you get close to them.

I really liked the Salt Pier..it was a bit of a pain..but, it was worth it. great undersea life there.

In no particular order:
1- Hilma
2- Klein, Bonaventure
3- Klein, No name
4- Angel City
5- Oil Slick Leap
6- Buddy Dive Reef, nice & convenient if staying at Lion or Buddy Dive

1. Windjammer
2. Bopec
3. Ladanias(sp) Leap from shore - very advanced unlisted site
4. Oil slick
5. 1000 steps
6. Hilma Hooker

Dave

1.Klein (eastside) "End of the Island" (drift)
2.Klein previous to the hurricane surge "Jerry's Jam"
3.Salt Pier
4.Town Pier
5.Karpata
6.Angel City
For house reef, I would choose 1."Cap't Dons"'
2. "Divi"
If you dive with Bruce Bowker you will get a number of dive sites that most don't go to.

Actually, previous to the hurricane surge that destoyed the north side of Klein, I could have named 6 outstanding sites on the north side of Klein....now, they are all gone ;>(

Dive Safe,
Caymaniac

In no particular order either, here's mine.

1. Town Pier Night Dive

2. Combining Angel City & Hilma Hooker on the same shore dive, starting at Angel City, going along the inner then outer reef, and exiting at Hilma Hooker (I did this using independant doubles)

3. La Dania's leap (we did this by boat) and who said this wasn't listed? http://www.shorediving.com/Earth/ABC/BonaireN/La_Dianas_Leap/index.htm

4. Bloodlet (by boat)

5. Atlantis

6. North Belnem area (especially at night)

not to hijack - just curious...
could people edit and add WHY their number one spot was sooo good?
(am going in July and will use these recommendations)
