Beneath the Surface Trigger System

My wife is trying to convince me to go with the BTS Trigger System versus the BTS Dual Tray and Arm set for Go Pro (no trigger system). Has anyone used this system? If so, your thoughts and comments.

Also she is concerned that the Big Blue VTL3500P (3500 Lumens) Underwater Video Light may be to heavy for the flex arms. You comments would be appreciated. If you think they may be to heavy what would you recommend?

Why does she want a complicated trigger system? I could see it for photos but don't see it as necessary for video. YMMV.
