Planning a two week Bonaire Vacation for January, have looked around and really like the Bellafonte, full kitchen and seperate bedroom is a must. Has anyone else stayed there recently - if so what did you think?

Thanks.

You might want to try bonairetalk.com. There's a lot of info on the site. If there aren't any recent reports on the Bellafonte, do a search. Also, you may want to consider the BelMar. We stayed there last year and really liked it.

We are Dallas divers and stay at the Bellafonte everytime we go. We have since purchased a grand suite #102. If you have any questions about Bonaire, please notify us.
Thank you,
Mike & Cindy

We were thinking about staying at the Bellafonte and of course renting a car.
If we get a junior suite is the room big enough and more important is it clean.
How's the reef for snorkeling right off the resort?
Thanks for any help

I live in Dallas and have a condo at Bellfonte 102 ,we love it there, I have been to bonaire and styed several places before buying at Bellfonte . The house reef is beautifull and only about 60 ft. in front of the dock. Another place we liked was Harbour Village on the north end of the island. Bonaire talk is a great place to get information on accomadation on the island . If you need any information on Bellafonte or Bonaire please contact me.Mike and Cindy 972-877-4265

We stayed at Belefonte our last trip (last January). We've stayed at a lot of different places on island, and really like the *Bel*. Each unit is privately owned, but they are very clean. Robbert who manages the property is very nice. There is no dive shop on the premesis, but the dive storage area is very large. One on each side of the building and each has an outdoor shower right there by the sea wall as well as a rinse tank. The pier is very nice for watching the sunset with a glass of wine.

Diving - IMHO there are better house reefs, but if you go North, toward windsock it's pretty sweet. Last January we saw spotted eagle rays on every dive. Uncrowded as a lot of non-divers stay at the *Bel* so you have the reef to yourself.

Snorkeling...is "OK" there is stuff around the dock, and along the wall North and South if the wave action isn't too bad. I did a couple of night snorkels without lights and the bioluminesence (sp) was spectacular (no drinkey and divey so drinkey and snorkely...lol)

Anyway, unless you HAVE to have a dive shop on the premesis, it's a great place. VERY quiet and relaxing :-)

Mike and Cindy...NOT jealous..nope, not one little bit ;-)
