I'm going to Ambergris Caye, Belize at the tail of the rainy season (Last week Oct/1st week Nov.) Anybody dove there that time of year? How bad does the rain impact vis just outside the barrier reef? Thanks in advance.

The vis can vary whether it's the rainy season or not. But it's never really bad in my experience in San Pedro. I lived and dived there all of 2000 and half of 01 and except for after Keith, it was usually at least 50 feet. You are on the tail end of the hurricane season in Oct Nov though and Belize does tend to get hit late in the year if we get hit at all.
