I would do the Belize Aggressor because it gets you to the better diving in Belize, which for the most part is harder to get to if you're land based. (I haven't done the BA but I've done the Sun Dancer II twice which is pretty much the same itinerary, though I think the SDII is a nicer boat.)

Pretty much anything the Cayman Aggressor does you could do land based, while staying in a nice resort and eating at nice restaurants. Granted, you would probably get in more dives in more areas in a week on the CA for a overall cheaper price, so depends what you like. One of the attractions of the CA might be easily diving all 3 islands in a week, but apparently they often don't make the crossing.

Sorry have not got the trip report done but have a gallery and slide show at my site for the Belize Aggressor. We had a good time, the diving is pretty typical Carib. There are some very nice sites with great sponges and others with very nice swim thrus with lots of bait fish and jacks feeding on them.

I was on the Belize Aggressor in December and had a great trip. The boat is in good shape and the crew is excellent. I agree with mjh that the diving is typical Caribbean. I would rate it slightly better than Little Cayman's Bloody Bay Wall for variety and the occasional shark or pelagic. I also agree with Damselfish that the Little Cayman diving is just as easily accessed by land-based trips from Little Cayman Beach Resort, for example. Also, if the seas are rough, the Aggressor might not make the crossing to Little Cayman at all.

I just got back from the Cayman Aggressor. (Note to self: Get that trip report done!) Anyway, I had a great time but because of conditions we were really only able to dive the west and south sides of Grand Cayman. We were able to scoot around to Stingray City on the last day but even that short run was a little bumpy and some people on the boat got seasick. One of the crew said the best conditions are in the late summer. The crew, boat, food, and diving I thought were terrific - but I don't have much of a basis for comparison.

thnx guys for all the info, the pics were good as well. Me and my roomate are trying to plan a trip for college graduation in May of 2008. We were debating between cayman and belize aggressor, but now we have made our lives more complicated. We added the okeanos aggressor into the picture, oh boy! Lol if we can swing the funds we are going to do the Okeanos goign to cocos island costa rica, we will see, got to decide by may which is the absolute latest, a yr in advance i think should be goo to book, but going to check with Aggressor as well to make sure spots arent filling up!

No doubt if you can get the money together go to Cocos! We did not go with Aggressor but at my site is a trip report, gallery and slide show. We loved it sooooo much it is one of the few destinations we are repeating.

Wow, Mjh I just dedicated some time out of my afternoon to view your slideshows on the website above. I was beyond impressed with the all of the shots and footage you got. Looks like you have had the chance to embark on some great adventures. Turns out that there was a few spots left for cocos island on the okeanos aggressor for June 7- 15, 2008. So we went ahead and booked it today. I know its a long way away but gives me something to look forward to. Anyhow I wanted to ask you what type of equipment you to get some of your photography shots. I am just started to work with u/w photo a little and trying to get some ideas and insight on some good setups? I viewed your cocos island slideshow, Palau, Similians & thailand, guadalupe, and the belize. All were very good
