My wife and I have dove in Belize twice. Once on Ambergris and another time at Turneffe Lodge. Both are very nice. We stayed at Victoria House on Ambergris. The diving is very close at each location. We really liked Turneffe for the diving dedication and the great food at their all inclusive. Trip to BH was not too long and the diving at Half Moon is not be missed. Thinking about diving in the south next time, but have heard that the reef is much further from shore.

Hi all, we also, are starting to plan a trip to Belize. Any comments on Caye Caulker ? Just starting my research, and getting my bearings on where to go ... novice divers all (3) of us ... have been to Cozumel a few times and also Grand Cayman. Thanks in advance to all.

Caulker is about 7 miles south of San Pedro. It's a quiet little island but with the same type of diving and access to a lot of the same dive sites as San Pedro. If you dive Turneffe or Lighthouse reef it's a 14 miles shorter ride too.
