Not sure why you don't want to rent a car. It's pretty easy to drive here. There are only about 4 main roads in the country. Of course, there is no driver's education so you do have to take driving defensively to a new level.
I drive approximately 1000 miles a week for work. When I'm on vacation, I prefer to avoid driving at all costs!
