Cool....Kissin' Cousins!

Great timing Dee! Was just about to post this:

...but a memorable moment. I was looking for a rock to steady myself on to take a photograph of a nudibranch... and at the last minute I realised the rock was looking at me. Neutral buoyancy rules!

Which Scorpion Cousin is that? I want to say Guitar fish but I'm not sure.....and I know how you enjoy correcting me! :D

and I know how you enjoy correcting me
LOL! :D . Only when it comes to image compression - I'm sure you know more about UW critters than I do!

Didn't know what the hell it was when I took the pics - just saw what looked like an eye and fired away. The dive guide at the Solomons later told me that that is a 'Crocodile Fish'. Thought it more than fitted the 'Camoflaged Creatures' category :)

It DOES look like a crocodile, doesn't it? Are they very big? Are they as passive as their cousins?

Ya'll have such neat creatures over there! :)
