Go ahead, ridicule me... What is the stainless clip on my reg/long hose "H" brand set-up supposed to hook to?. If it were hooked, it would not reach my mouth. I think I was set up a standard way, maybe the DIR gurus know. And while we are at it, how's my "trim"?

Ever humble,
catherine

Hello Catherine, you clip it to your D ring on your right side, above your back up light, when it's not in your mouth. Very helpful when getting out of a boat so not to accidently drag your second stage.

It hooks up to a spg way are you using a hp line on a reg for. Am I reading the question rong.

Plus if your not wearing you gear, clipping the reg to the rightside so that the reg isn't being dragged around on the ground.

yup... it's a way to stow the second stage when not in use, whether you are
wearing or not wearing your gear

(for example, i always clip it on a boat or while my gear sits on a
bench or table; that way it won't fall to the ground.

underwater, if i have to switch to my secondary for some reason, or
to a stage bottle, i can clip the reg out of the way. also, if i
have to use my buddy's air, i can clip my reg out of the way while
i use his)

nice trim, but your knees are too low. arch your back more, and kick
up your knees. when you touch bottom, your crotch should touch first,
not your knees =)

that could be 'cause you're looking up at the camera.... get your head low,
that will help bring your knees up

it does?????

thanks! that was painless...yes, the long hose is always getting dragged around and stepped on by people. Got it. ... And to think how many dives I did with my neck bent to the D-ring.

I put this through babelfish and it still didn't compute.

Watch those bolt snaps when the barracuda are around. I had a couple of really slow, intertested passes by a big one and it was making me kind of edgy. The DM pointed to my bolt snap (shiny stainless of course) hanging there off my reg. After that, I'd cover it up with my hand if a cuda looked very interested. Nothing like a barracuda going after a bolt snap inches from your face to ruin a dive ;)

Your trim looks okay, but not great. It's hard to say for sure from a head-on photo, but it looks to me like you're about 20 degrees "head high" from horizontal.

It would be better if you picked your knees up, bent them a little more, and held your arms out in front of you with one hand resting on the other, instead of folding them across your chest. It'll get you into a more horizontal position, which will make you more streamlined. If your trim is right, you'll need to bend your neck as if looking up in order to look forward.

If you lie face down with your knees, chest, and elbows all touching the floor, that's level.
