doesnt sound like very independent diving Is there any shore diving without DM?

The beach near the beaches resort is awesome but there's nothing to see there diving wise, you'll want a boat or a car to get to a reasonable site. There is a good snorkeling area nearby called "Coral Gardens" and there are plenty of good dive sites and ops, you just need a boat to get to them.

P.S. My favourite picture from T&C:

Shot in 2007, Canon SLR in Fantasea enclosure.

[edit: I also meant to say it's worth walking a few hundred meters away from Beaches if you want quiet. There are plenty of secluded spots, but the Beaches section gets very busy]

It's a great place for diving with a family in tow. We enjoy it every year. :D
