I'm planning on purchasing my first BCD, and am looking for suggestions. I need something that will be durable enough to handle 4-8 dives a month that is weight integrated.

I use DiveRite transpac II.
Everyone has their preferences on the type and brand of BCD. Most beginners go for a jacket style BCD, my favorite brand is Oceanic and the Probe BCD is my choice (tested in the field, good features and price) if I'm in your shoes. Things to consider include buoyancy lift (need more lift for coldwater), comfort, # of pockets and D-rings, features, material etc. I suggest you try a few in your favorite local dive shop - see if they'll let you demo a BCD, or you can rent their BCDs for dives to check them out. If you want a more objective look at certain models, you can look up Rodale's Scube Diving for their BCD evaluations. Happy shopping and dive safely.

Zeagle hands down!

you failed to list the best brand. Scubapro. For backinflated, the Knighthawk, for full jacket, the Glide Plus. Both weight integrated. If you want non-weight integrated they have those too. And if you wish to step up and pay big bucks, they have those too.

And maybe Halcyon or Dive rite ????

I only dive Zeagle, but Carribeandiver is correct the Knighthawk would be a very good second choice for me.

I didn't see ScubaPro on the list.

Sorry I left scuba-pro out, i didn't mean to. I'll take all the comments for leaving them out as a vote toward a vote.

If anyone else has a vote thanks in advance>
