Well, all I can suggest is going to your LDS and trying them out until you find one you like. Tell them your budget and see if they will work with it.drkwing:v_1matst: what BC would you then suggest so that I can get the biggest bang for my buck?
I happen to prefer a back inflate. I currently use the Black Diamond, however I think it's too expensive and too bulky. I am in the process of moving over to a backplate and wing setup. This could be the 'most bang for your buck' because you can change wings depending on what type of diving you are doing (single, doubles, greater/lesser lift, etc) and the backplate can also be changed (steel, aluminum, weighted STAs, etc). The harness is more streamlined too. It won't have all the bells and whistles the jacket style BCs have, but it has what is needed.
Again, try everything out if you can before you buy it. This will end up saving you money in the long run.
