I have a BC with a leaking emergency inflator. I have removed the inflator unit and this left the round hole in the inner bladder. It looks like some new o-rings and a valve stem and I could be back in the water. Plan B would be to just patch the hole and go dive. I have come to find that this piece of "safety" equipment is no longer concidered essential. (the inflator, not the BC).
Has anybody been on this boat before?

And yes I am shopping for a new BC

The co2 detonators on BCs are not only considered unnecessary, they are obsolete and potentially unsafe (accidental detonation resulting in major unintentional bouyancy). A low pressure port plug will close the port that removing the detonator system left.
