I was about 90lbs (5'9" 295lbs) heavier at the time and diving in general was a lot more difficult than it is now (206lbs) but the first bc I owned was a Transplate and it was a nightmare to say the least. I adjusted it countless times and never got it quite right. It was a great day when I sold it! A lot of people swear by them though. I use a Cressi jacket for rec and s/m for tec/cave now. Those are the way to go imo but to each their own!
