So if I understand this right... A BP/W has better (meaning less) buoyancy than a traditional BC? I'm guessing because of all the webbing and fancy stuff right?
Yes. It is (more) negative.
 
I am also a new diver had the same idea as you both rec and maybee some tech i decided the RangerLTD can custom fit for your body style it is easy to change to double tanks and well made
 
also the knighthawk doesnt have enough intergraded weight in the rear of the bc so on the surface you get pushed slightly foward
