If your BC chest strap crosses right over your inflator hose on your dry suit is it a problem? Is the chest strap that big of a deal? Would it really matter if I just tucked the strap under or kept it loose (while diving dry) so it didn't rub or put pressure on the inflator button? I really like my current BC so if the chest strap doesn't matter...I know this is a bit silly but opinions are welcomed anyway. Thanks folks.

On my old BC mine went near but not right over. But, really only you can answer this. Have you tried diving with your chest strap undone? Does it seem to make a difference? Every BC fits a bit differently. On some it's needed, others not.

I know divers who just remove the chest strap, dry suit or not. Do you feel like you need it on your BC? Some are adjustable (up and down).

I never connect the chest strap on my BC. It's an old Scubapro Sport Classic.

When I dove a Zeagle Ranger I removed the chest strap completely. Never missed it.

The new BC's are addressing that....I just got a Selene fron TUSA and the strap is above it. Haven't had it in the water yet. Interesting wt. system.

I don't use my chest strap when diving dry. I will wear it diving wet, which is not often. I'm still not sure I need it even then.

I Use a DUI Delta Wings and the strap goes right over the top of my inflator. It's not a problem for me, I know it's there and can still get to my inflator no problem. The Delta does have the option to move the strap but I like it higher up.

Just my $.02

i hate my dui bc....strap is right center over the hose....don't like the wt. system either...that is why I got the selene.
