Just a little info about the BICD, if you plan on visiting Utila and need any information feel free to ask.
Welcome to Bay Islands College of Diving a PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre. We offer a wide range of courses from open water through to IDC, including a extensive number of specialty courses, some of which are unique to the college including a Whale Shark Specialty (Utila, being famous for Whale sharks which spend a large part of the year in this area of the Caribbean) and Advanced Naturalist package.
With an international staff of instructors and experts in fields from marine biology to photography there is a course to suit everyone with teaching available in up to 7 languages, including English, German, Spanish and French.
We have excellent facilities which are regarded as the best in Central America, with some 3500 Sq ft training facility, air conditioned class rooms, state of the art presentation media, fresh water pool, 3 fully equipped dive boats.
For post diving entertainment and relaxation we also have a roof top bar and restaurant Café Barracuda which overlooks the ocean and on a clear day (so when isnt it on Utila?) you can see the mountains on the mainland and enjoy a sunset drink.
