Scubapro Vs. Apeks

I'm looking for advantages vs. disadvantages of each. Going to be buying one of these two this Sunday... I already have strong leanings toward one, but last minute second guessing myself.

Good luck :D

I'm sure it will boil down to a personal preference issue....or price.

Which models were you looking at?

ATX50
or
MK25/S600

Personal preference. Yeah, that's what I figgered, that once a company reaches a certain performance level they're going to be amazing no matter what. Unfortunately, as a greenhorn I don't yet have the discerning lungs enough to notice the subtle differences.

For the time being I'll be doing shallow, newbie, practicy stuff. With any luck I'll work up the experience and the culliones to get to some Atlantic wrecks without having to overhaul my equipment.

Well then I'm pretty much in the same boat as you :D (figuratively speaking).

The models I was looking at were the ATX200 vs. the MK25/S600. Rodale's has good rave reviews of the Scubapro, which is making me lean towards them (depending on how much credit you give Rodales ;)). However, Apeks has set some pretty good records, and are generally accepted more amongst the deep/cave diving community. Scubapro's are a little easier to find a service dealer for around here, but there are Apeks service reps out there (but I guess that's another issue when trying to decide).

Right now I'm still kinda leaning towards the Apeks. I guess it's because of personal preference (and the cool knobby-thingys on the side I can use for adjustments).
