The battery to my Mosquito needs changed. I am assuming that there is a watch kit so that you can do it yourself. Where do you get the kit? Or is it better to pay the few bucks to let somebody else do it?

hardhat:If they flood, you may as well through the whole unit out because the water cooks the electronics inside.
the_cat_keeper:Mmmm... I was told not to change the battery myself so I sent mine back to Sunnto to replace the battery. Supposedly a pressure test is carried to ensure that the mosquito reads correctly after the battery change-out. Is this true?
Jai Bar:Are you sure that the battery compartment is not isolated from the computer electronics? Becuase if it is isolated from the computer, water will only damage the battery itself and nothing else. I am not familiar with the Mosquito, but in Vyper and Favor I am pretty sure (from experience) that it is well isolated...
In any event, water by itself usually cannot cook anything just like that. To boil an egg, for example, one may need to put the water in a container and use some source of heat![]()
