My daughter and I did our 3rd trip to Bonaire in March and we did about 5 dives with Bas and you really need to go dive with him when you are on Bonaire. He is very safe so if the conditions are not right, he will call that dive off. I had my BEST dives on Bonaire with Bas!!! This is a MUST!!!! Aruba Bob

Sounds like a great time. I did a dive with him at Cai last year and it was probably my best Bonaire dive. Quite a variety of underwater topography, which isn't what one thinks of with diving the west coast.

Richard.

That's the same place we did the 3 dives at. It does not get much better than that.

I see its Bas Toles Birthday today!! Happy Birthday buddy!!!!

Hi all,

drrich2 - just confirm, you used Bas for west coast diving? I thought he was recommended for east coast diving. We are thinking about booking him for an east coast dive.

Has anyone dived with him on the east coast? If so, how was it? How are the entry and exits for the east coast shore dives? I am trying to decide if we should do shore dives or book on a boat dive on the east coast. Any input for others would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You have the right guy. Bas Tol. He does the East side and that's the Best. He also goes other places if the East side is to rough but he won't take you where you can dive by yourself. He only takes you to the hard places that you won't do by yourself.

Have to agree. Got to do a morning Lac Cai dive with Bas this year. I admit I was very nervous about doing East side, didn't sleep well the night before. Bas immediately allayed my concerns, wanted to do Cai as a first 'get to know your skills' dive and what a dive it was! I swear he knows every mound and must know the fish by name. Thorough briefing, describing the topography and what to expect in each area. Got to see a bunch of new species like sun anemone, different shrimp, buffalo trunk fish, spanish grunts and shovel eel. Max depth 60 feet, total dive time 1:40 on a single 80. And Bas dispatched 2 Lionfish as well :)
